In order to have eternal life and peace with God, a person must meet Jesus Christ as his Savior in a personal way. The Bible declares that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and on the third day rose from the grave to everlasting life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The Bible also tells us that if we believe this in our hearts and confess Jesus Christ as Lord, we shall be saved (Romans 10:9).

Do you know the steps to peace with God?

Step 1 - Realize God's plan: Abundant Life

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Step 2 - Acknowledge man's problem: Separation from God

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death [separation from God]; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Step 3 - Recognize God's remedy: The Cross

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth [proved] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

Step 4 - Accept God's gift: receive Christ

John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

What you must do:

1. Admit your need - "I am a sinner."

2. Be willing to turn from your sin (repent).

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose again from the dead.

4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and forgive you of your sin. Receive Him as your Savior and Lord.
