Could YOU be a missionary?

The Lord has given our youth group the privilege of helping support a neat missionary family in the Philippines. Panz and Nancy Alvarez work with Campus Crusade for Christ at the International School of Theology - Asia where Panz helps to train Asian pastors and Christian leaders and Nancy teaches English as a Second Language.

We had a chance to spend time with the Alvarezes on May 26, 2004. We took them ice skating while they hosted us in a game of "Missionary Fear Factor" - i.e., "Can you be a missionary?"

The point of the game was to eat as many weird and gross things in as little time as possible! This would show you a little of what missionaries do while in the field.

We want to congratulate our winner Charity who beat Greg and Pastor Brian the claim the championship. Tara came in a noble fourth. Everyone else had a lot of fun as well.
