| The Sports CornerLook! We have pictures! (Beware - it could take a while to load!) Game six highlights Cornerstone met Apostles for the first time this season. Cornerstone led throughout the game and was never seriously challenged. George Woodring led the team collecting four hits, and his brother, Jim, had three. Darryl Miller contributed three hit as he and Carl Killinger set the table. Final score was Cornerstone 17, Apostles 10. Game seven highlights St. Peters from Neffsville got a little revenge on Cornerstone. They remembered the results from game five and came out swinging. Final score was St. Peters 21, Cornerstone 18. St. Peters scored ten runs in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach. Cornerstone was without five players due to graduation and other commitments. Nacho had five hits and Jim Woodring had four. Lee Habbershon also went three for three scoring four runs and George Woodring homered in the losing effort. Game eight highlights Talk about exciting games! Salem was also out for revenge on Cornerstone. They came out smoking with a 13-3 lead, but Cornerstone woke up and overtook Salem beating them 20-14. Matt Bomberger homered and had four hits. George Woodring also had four hits. Darryl Miller also homered and scored three runs. Pastor Arnold picked up his fourth victory. Note: July 12th is the annual hotdog roast at the Wayside ball field. Come one, come all! July 14th, the team is heading to Scranton for a double-header. Standings
